Jay Parker has been acting, directing and writing for regional theaters throughout Southern California since the age of 15. One of the founders of the controversial performance artists trio The Subterranean Lounge Lizards (1993). Parker has received many writing awards, his first published play was Parable Theater (1992) by Meriweather Publications. Also published: The Party's Over (2007) by New Theater Publications and Bar Talk (2008) by New Theater Publications. Parker’s plays have been produced mostly in the Los Angeles area throughout the 80’s and 90’s then at the Lizard Theater In Alhambra, California, a small theater company which he founded with Ruben Aguilar in 2003.
